Jimi Hendrix ( real name is James Marshall from November 27th 1942 to September 18th 1970) is a famous American guitarist, singer and composer,is also recognized as the most important electric guitarist in the history of pop music.Hendrix's guitar skills is completely self-read.Owing to be a left-handed person,he installed upside down the right-handed guitar to the left hand play.As a guitarist,he was influenced by numbers of Blues and R&B's Guitar predecessors,and based on these to make a great innovations.
Besides,he developed traditional rock guitar playing skills creatively.Although some of the artists before him such as "The Kinks","Dave Davies", has used feedback(回授),distorsion(破音)on rapid solo,he is the first guitarist who uses the effects overall performance of his works.
As a studio producer,he is the first one uses studio effects processing to perform his music.Besides,Hendrix is also a seasoned composer,His works in his lifetime and after death have been reinterpreted by many musicians.In the end,his status as a "guitar god" is far beyond the same period "Little Richard","Chuck Berry",even his first idol "Elvis Presley" and The great "Beatles"

I ‘m curious that how about you see Jimi Hendrix. Such as, is he your favorite guitarist? Or you were inspired by him. He was really a talented guitarist. It amazed me when I know his skills are by self-read. Maybe that is a good case we call genius.
ReplyDeleteToo bad, I know nothing about Jimi Hendrix nor any other american guitarist. But as a self-taught guitarist, it is quite a remarkable achievement to gain the title of "guitarist god" on his own. Yet I don't think he can hold a candle to Elvis Presley nor The Beatles(just my opinion :P).

I also love jimi hendrix well!He create a new style of guitar! And he also write lots of great songs!But it's so bad that he died so young and so sundenlly!
